Company background

27th December 1951 – the Council of Ministers of the USSR passed a decree to start building the Lyovshino mechanical woodpulp plant (currently OOO Permsky Karton within the PCBK Group) on the bank of the Chusovaya river in the vicinity of the Golovanovo railway station. The project of the plant was developed by Mosgiprobum. Georgy Pavlovich Mikhaylov was appointed as the first director.

29th April 1959 – phase 1 of the Lyovshino mechanical woodpulp plant was put into operation, first batch of wood pulp produced.

1964 – the plant’s product was exported for the first time.

1965 – construction of the effluent treatment plant which came to be the second built in the Soviet Union.

1966 – the semi-chemical pulp plant produced the first batch using sodium-based cooking. The board and paper mill produced the first ton of board.

June 30th 1970 – converting plant produced the first corrugated boxes.

1971 – production of wallpaper started up.

1998 – reconstruction and rebuilding of production facilities was begun.

January 1st 2001 – new converting facility started-up, utilizing the latest imported equipment.

2004 – PCBK Group of companies was established:

• Perm Pulp and Paper Company ZAO
• Uralbumaga OOO
• Permsky Karton OOO
• TD Permskiye Oboi OOO

August 2005 – construction of the new paper factory was begun.

September 2007 - the official opening ceremony of the new board and paper factory 
 

December 2007 – Perm Pulp and Paper Group of Companies agreed with the West-Ural Bank of the Russian Sberbank the investment project for the installation of a new production facility.
 

2008 – construction of the new converting plant.

2009 – the new corrugated packaging mill was put into operation. There is the newest equipment of European companies. It is the leading plant in Russia according to equipment level.

2010 – PCBK production facilities were increased in 2 times.
